1. Ascent of Mount Toubkal (4,167 m) and return to Imlil** Wake up very early, usually between 4am and 5am, for an energetic Breakfast before DE start climbing the **highest peak in North Africa**. The climb, quite physically demanding, lasts about **3 to 4 hours** depending on your pace. The trail winds between scree and rocky passages, but without major technical difficulties in dry weather. Once at the **top of Mount Toubkal**, you will be rewarded with spectacular 360° views of the DE l’Atlas Mountains, the surrounding plains and, on a clear day, to the Sahara Desert. After a moment DE rest and DE contemplation at the summit, you will begin the descent to the refuge where a **lunch awaits you**. In the afternoon you will DE descend to **Imlil**, which you will reach after about an additional **4 to 5 hours of walking**.
