Live a day as a researcher with the scientists of MareTerra NGO. All your curiosities about dolphins will be satisfied. Observe the researchers as they collect scientific data to study the bottlenose dolphin population of the Gulf of Alghero. Discover the stories of some of the most famous dolphins like Suzeo, Taz or Shark Junior. During snorkelling, you'll have a guide who will take you to discover underwater life. On board, we'll tell you some curiosities about what we have seen. You will never be alone! Our excursions are inspired by the principles of ecotourism and sustainability: - Latest generation boat engines reduce fuel consumption and reduce the emission of noise underwater. - HQWW certification (High Quality Whale Watching) for whale watching operators complying with the Code of Good Conduct. This serves to reduce and minimize the disturbance of cetaceans. - Environmental education on board. - By joining Progetto Natura, you can support MareTerra NGO and its scientific research and conservation projects.

5Beautiful morning with the crew of the blue boat
Such a lovely crew and very clearly enjoyed being on the watch for dolphins with us. The boat was just the right size to feel comfortable and yet very personal. Our 3 experts were knowledgable, entertaining, and friendly. We saw 1 individual dolphin and then a small pod of mums and babies. The water was so clear you could see them swim under the boat. So beautiful. And the team were so respectful of them. It was the highlight of our stay. Thankyou for your time and good luck with your research. I didn't really take photos as I wanted to be there.

5Great day on the water
This tour was a great way to spend 3 sunny hours in late May. Francesco, Guillermo and the rest of the crew gave us lots of information and tried their best to find Dolphins for us to see and for them to study. We only got to see 2 Dolphins but we got good sightings of them, always remember wildlife can be unpredictable so there's a lot of luck involved. The boats are well maintained and clean, there is no water supplied so make sure to bring some. The fee for the tour goes to help fund research so by taking this tour you are helping to give the Dolphins abetter chace to live longer and better lives.

About Alghero
Alghero is a walled seaside town on Sardinia's north-west coast, with Catalan roots, a sea-bastion old town, coral jewellery and the cliffs of Capo Caccia.
Alghero stands on a low peninsula on Sardinia's north-west coast, within ramparts and towers that face the sea. Catalans settled here in the fourteenth century, and Algherese, a dialect of Catalan, is still spoken, with street signs in two languages, earning the town the nickname Barceloneta, little Barcelona. In the old town stand the Cathedral of Santa Maria, the church of San Francesco with its cloister, and the Bastioni Marco Polo, a sea-wall promenade.
