3. After the tour of the Limón waterfall, you will head out on an exciting safari truck tour of the city of Samaná. Discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1493, this region is known for having been the scene of the first hostile encounter between Europeans and natives.

4. We will travel by boat to Bacardi Island (Cayo Levantado) where we will have time to swim and relax on the beautiful beach. Cayo Levantado, also known as Bacardi Island, is a small 1 km long island where you can enjoy free time on its beautiful beach with crystal clear turquoise waters. During this visit, you will also have the opportunity to enjoy our lunch in an idyllic setting.

About La Romana

La Romana is a sugar town and resort base on the Dominican Republic's south-east coast, near Altos de Chavón, Saona Island and the beaches of Bayahíbe.

La Romana grew up around sugar, and the cane fields and mills of the surrounding plains remain part of the landscape. The city lies on the Caribbean coast of the south-east beside the Dulce River, with a small central park, a cargo port and a free zone where cigars are rolled. Nearby, the resort estate of Casa de Campo covers a large stretch of coast with marinas, golf courses and tropical gardens.
