It sits in a natural amphitheater surrounded by some of the world's highest peaks, including Annapurna I, Machapuchare (Fishtail), Hiunchuli, and Annapurna South.
Machhapuchchhre, also spelled Machapuchare and often called Fishtail Mountain, is one of the most iconic peaks in Nepal. It stands at 6,993 meters (22,943 feet) and is located in the Annapurna Himalayas, near Pokhara.
