In evidenza
Why don't you make your one and only Temari in the world? She usually runs a glasses shop, but for everyone's benefit, Grandma Yasue will teach you how to make them for those who come to Kurashiki! Temari has long been a favorite folk craft of Kurashiki. Temari is made by wrapping thread around a core filled with rice husks and embroidery. In this experience, you will start by embroidering the core that has been made in advance.

About Kurashiki
Kurashiki is a canal-side town in Okayama Prefecture, with white-walled warehouses, willows, an art museum and the jeans workshops of Kojima.
In the Bikan Historical Quarter of Kurashiki, willows hang over a narrow canal lined by former rice warehouses with white plaster walls and black tiles, now shops, cafés and galleries. The town grew rich on rice and cotton in the Edo period, and the Ohara Museum of Art, opened in 1930 as Japan's first museum of Western art, holds works by El Greco, Monet and Gauguin.
