Rum Tasting Experience in the Old Barrel House

Step into a historic Caribbean barrel house and taste the past—one sip at a time. This immersive rum tasting invites you to explore the Virgin Islands’ rich history through its most iconic export: sugarcane rum. Guided by passionate hosts in the heart of Charlotte Amalie, you’ll learn the difference between molasses and sugarcane-based rums, the role of the Virgin Islands in the global rum trade, and how French Caribbean sugarcane and cognac barrel aging create a smoother, cleaner spirit. Your senses will lead the way—start by exploring the rum aroma station, then savor a curated flight of at least four premium rums, each telling a flavorful story of terroir, craftsmanship, and island culture. This is more than a tasting—it’s an invitation to connect with the legacy of rum in the West Indies.
