  Captain Chris is very knowledgeable and accommodating while on his charter. My family and I had the best day on his boat. He took the time to explain everything throughly. We went to The Bath’s and the Soggy Dollar which both were amazing. I highly recommend The Local legend charter!

• 5Best guides in USVI

  We've had two amazing experiences with Local Legend the past two spring breaks. Last year we had Captain Zach, last year we got Captain Chris. Both guys are great and will show you a fun time. We got to snorkel, see some turtles, take a look at sunken ship, etc. This was everybody's favorite day of the vacation both years.

• 5Great day with Island Legends

  Chris is an excellent captain! He tailored the day to our desires and was very flexible with the agenda for the day. Sightseeing, snorkeling & lunch were all terrific. We spent time at & around Jost Van Dyke - completely fantastic. Our friends used Chris for a charter last year and this year that highly recommended Chris for our trip with them. Safety is top of mind with Chris. Oh yeah, Chris is a super nice guy. We highly recommend!

• 5Great day snorkeling the Islands.

  Local Legends saved the day after our cruise booked snorkeling trip was cancelled literally at the last minute. Chris is a son of a son of sailor - and an expert on all things local marine. He tailored a fun day for us and was even able to do a drop back in the main port. Great memories snorkeling and visiting St. John. Thanks for taking us out with no notice.

• 5Highlight of Our Trip to St. Thomas

  We had an amazing time on our private charter around the US Virgin Islands. Chris listened to what we were interested in doing, and tailored the trip to our liking. Would absolutely recommend doing this on your trip! It was definitely the most fun thing we got to do with snorkeling, jumping off the boat and just cruising around listening to music. My teenage nieces absolutely loved it, and they are hard to impress. Our only regret is we did not book a full day!

• 5Best day in the BVI’s - highly recommend!!

  An incredible day in the BVIs! Our boat charter was the perfect way to explore these beautiful islands. We loved every stop—The Baths were stunning, lunch on Cooper Island was fantastic, Sandy Split beautiful, and the Soggy Dollar always had been on my bucket list! The crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everything was just right. We wrapped up with a sunset cruise that was simply breathtaking. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience—highly recommend!

About Cruz Bay

Cruz Bay is the small ferry town and main settlement of St John in the US Virgin Islands, the gateway to a national park of beaches, reefs and hills.

Cruz Bay sits on the west coast of St John, the smallest of the three main US Virgin Islands, with pastel buildings, shops and bars around a small harbour. Ferries link it to Red Hook on St Thomas, and the town is the gateway to Virgin Islands National Park, which covers more than half of the island. The Danish West Indies, as the islands were once called, were sold to the United States in 1917, and Danish-built walls and sugar-mill ruins survive.
