Highlights
Many short tours in the Almaty region focus on covering as many locations as possible in a very limited time. This 2-day private itinerary is designed differently — with fewer stops and a slower, more balanced pace that allows time to walk, explore, and actually experience each place. The tour focuses on three iconic sites: Charyn Canyon (Valley of Castles), Kolsay Lake, and Kaindy Lake. Routes and walking sections are adjusted to conditions and group pace, while travel is arranged by SUV with accommodation and meals planned in advance as part of one coordinated program. This tour is best suited for travelers who prefer a well-structured, unhurried journey over rushed sightseeing and want to experience the region without self-driving or fragmented planning.

About Almaty
Almaty is Kazakhstan's largest city, set beneath the snow peaks of the Tian Shan, with leafy parks, Soviet-era monuments, cafés and mountain lakes nearby.
Almaty lies on a plain at the foot of the Trans-Ili Alatau, a range of the Tian Shan mountains, whose snowy peaks rise to the south. It was the capital of Kazakhstan until 1997, when the title passed to Astana, and it remains the largest city and the cultural centre. Wide avenues are shaded by poplars and elms, and Panfilov Park holds the brightly painted wooden Ascension Cathedral and a memorial to soldiers of the Second World War.
