Itinerario

  1. Your adventure begins in the heart of Oslo, where your guide will meet you at the When in Norway tour center. From there, we’ll hop on the metro for a scenic ride, passing through charming neighborhoods on our way to Frognerseteren Station, perched 500 meters above the fjord.

  2. After a few moments to enjoy the stunning view of the city lights below, it's time to start your adventure and head off into the night! We will take a short walk over to the frozen Øvresetertjern Lake, where you will enjoy a cozy campfire - Norwegian style. Around the fire you will enjoy some hot drinks, good conversation, roast marshmallows and watch the flames dance off the snow and ice as you have a moment of what Scandinavians like to call "hygge".

  3. After enjoying the campfire, each guest will be given a hand-held flame torch and, after a quick safety briefing, we’ll set off into the winter wilderness. The forest comes alive in the glow of our torches as we take a leisurely walk through the snowy landscape. The snow sparkles like fresh-cut gems, and the moonlight dances on the trees while the warm light from our torches adds a magical glow to the surroundings. Along the way, your guide will share stories and interesting facts about the area, with plenty of opportunities to stop and capture the beauty around you. The walk will last about 45 minutes and will end by the metro which takes us back to civilization. On our tours, guests' safety always comes first. On this tour we move through the forest with live fire. If the guide assesses that the situation or the weather challenges the guests' safety, we will not use torches. We still wander through the forest, and end up lighting a campfire.

About Oslo

Oslo is Norway's capital at the head of the Oslofjord, a green city of sculpture, Viking ships, polar-ship museums, an opera house and forests for skiing.

Oslo sits at the head of the Oslofjord, surrounded by forested hills and dotted with islands, and it is one of Europe's greenest capitals. The waterfront has the Opera House, a white marble building with a sloping roof that visitors can walk on, and Akershus Fortress, a medieval castle above the harbour. City Hall, a brick building with large murals, is where the Nobel Peace Prize is presented each December.

Top-ranked sights in Oslo: Akershus Castle (Akershus Slott), Oslo Royal Palace (Kongelige Slott), Oslo City Hall (Radhuset).
