5Hectic, fun and energetic, this tour is an absolute must on your Dhaka itinerary
Bappi was a fantastic guide and a must for navigating the maze of old Dhaka. I felt safe, well taken care of, and welcomed. Bappi took me everywhere I wanted to go and more. His hospitality was warm, and his skills as a tour guide in this hectic, energetic city are a perfect match. If you're visiting Dhaka, do this tour. Instead of dipping your toe in, you dive in head first. There's no other way to do Dhaka. I would add that doing the tour on the first full day is recommended, as it will give you confidence for the rest of your trip (you'll need it!). Once you've done old Dhaka with Bappi, you're good to go!
5Unforgettable Tour
My old city tour with Dhaka Tours was scintillating. I’ve traveled to many countries around the world and this was by far the most intense and memorable city tour I’ve ever taken. My guide, Babbi, was full of knowledge. He navigated us through the intensity of the Dhaka streets like a pro. We visited mosques, palaces, universities and ducked into hidden alleys that I would have never seen on my own. We hopped on and off boats and rickshaws with ease to behold some of the most interesting pockets of the old town, including the best local biryani and dessert shops you can find. Dhaka isn’t for the faint of heart, but if you want an unforgettable experience I would highly recommend Dhaka Tours.
5Amazing old Dhaka
Bappi is a experience guide & live in Old Dhaka, he arranged Old Dhaka tour via some kind of tuk tuk not via car, due old town road so narrow & traffic jam, if transfer by car will waste more & more time. I had wonderful day in Dhaka , high recommend it
5Amazing and memorable day in Dhaka
It exceeded all my expectations. With Bappi as my guide, I had a wonderful day in Dhaka full with amazing highlights such as tasting local food, river boat trip, watching old palaces, mosques, churches and markets … and beautiful old city of Dhaka … and memorable rikscha rides. 100% recommabdable!
5Dhaka beyond the usual tourist paths
Old Dhaka City Tour is a fantastic way to experience the vibrant energy, history, and culture of one of the oldest parts of the city. The tour offers a deep dive into the narrow streets of Old Dhaka, where every corner feels alive with heritage, commerce, and daily life. Highlights typically include visits to historic sites, bustling markets, and iconic food spots, giving a well-rounded feel of the city’s unique character. The guides are usually knowledgeable and help bring context to the chaotic yet fascinating environment. Overall, it’s an unforgettable cultural experience for anyone wanting to see the real, living heartbeat of Dhaka beyond the usual tourist paths.

About Dhaka
Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh on the Buriganga River, is a dense, restless city of Mughal-era monuments, rickshaws and a busy river port.
Dhaka grew from a Mughal provincial capital on the Buriganga River into one of the most densely populated cities on earth. Old Dhaka holds most of the history: Lalbagh Fort, begun in 1678 and never finished, the pink Ahsan Manzil palace beside the river, and the Star Mosque with its mosaic of china tiles. The narrow lanes around them are filled with workshops and traders.
Top-ranked sights in Dhaka: Sadarghat Port, Star Mosque (Tara Masjid), Armenian Church.
