Typical of London's cityscape, Hampstead Underground Station is well worth a stop, for its architecture and history. Here, your Guide will go back to the origins of the Village.
After taking in Church Row, one of Hampstead’s prettiest streets, lined with elegant buildings that have welcomed many distinguished guests over time, your Guide will tell you the story of St John’s Parish Church and some of the celebrities who lie in its cemetery.
Going up Holly Place, you will dive into the heart of the village, out of reach of the noise and bustle of the city.
After a brief ascent to reach Holly Mount, your efforts will be rewarded with the breathtaking panorama of London’s skyline.
Mansion houses or eccentric design, actors, celebrities of the press and literary, activists... Hampstead Village is full of historical anecdotes and architectural nuggets.
