For those who do not wish to walk Jaunting cart’s are also available (at extra cost of €25 per person) to take the clients through the natural unspoilt beauty of the Black Valley, a walker’s paradise. Upon reaching Lord Brandon’s Cottage, there will be time to enjoy refreshments (not included) at the Cafe, before taking your boat trip through the Lakes of Killarney to Ross Castle where your bus will be waiting to take you back to Killarney. About Killarney
Killarney is a small County Kerry town beside a national park of lakes, mountains and old woodland, and the usual start of the Ring of Kerry.
Killarney National Park, on the town's doorstep, takes in three lakes and ancient oak and yew woods, with the MacGillycuddy's Reeks rising to the west, where Carrauntoohil is the highest mountain in Ireland. Muckross House is a Victorian mansion with gardens on a lake shore, Muckross Abbey is a ruined friary, Ross Castle stands on the water, and Torc Waterfall drops through the woods. The park shelters Ireland's only native herd of red deer.
