A nature enthusiast's dream, you will get to camp out on certain days, with the stars in plain view to observe high up the mountains. You'll trek through many kinds of terrain including forests, riverbanks, hills, and of course, the Himalayas themselves. Pokhara is a lakeside city in central Nepal, with Phewa Lake and the Annapurna peaks above it, and the starting point for classic Himalayan treks.
Pokhara lies in a valley at about 800 metres, with Phewa Lake at its heart. Wooden boats cross to the small Tal Barahi temple on an island, and the Lakeside district is a strip of cafés, shops and guesthouses. On clear mornings the Annapurna range and the sharp pyramid of Machapuchare, 'Fishtail', rise above the water, startlingly close to a lowland town.
Top-ranked sights in Pokhara: Sarangkot , Phewa Lake.
