This is more than a brewery walk. With a local sake expert guide, visit three or more breweries and taste a carefully selected range of sake while learning how rice, water, fermentation, and brewing methods shape each flavor. Discover the true taste of Japanese sake in Nada Gogo—Japan’s most celebrated sake-brewing region and the heart of Kobe’s sake culture. Through clear explanations and guided tastings, you will begin to recognize the differences between sake styles, understand your own preferences, and learn how to choose and enjoy sake with greater confidence throughout the rest of your trip in Japan. Your guide will also share local stories and insights that are difficult to discover by visiting the breweries on your own. The experience is friendly, relaxed, and easy to follow, whether you are completely new to sake or already an enthusiast. During Japan’s hot summer season, we use a shorter and more comfortable route while keeping the experience rich in tastings and discovery.
One of the oldest Sake breweries in this region, has 400 year-history. Cherry blossom-icon brewery is famous for Japanese not only its traditional taste, but also keep adjusting to the Japanese taste of the times. Start tasting with genuine Japanese Sake!
Welcomes you to the ‘deep Nada Sake’ world! Try the authentic Japanese sake drinking style inside the liquor store. In Sake-passionate owner’s secret base, taste his best-selected Sake!
Study & sipping time! Enjoy a real sake brewery experience from the second-floor observation deck, overlooking the production area. Taste fresh unpasteurized sake and refreshing yuzu sake, and discover Hamafuku’s fresh, modern, yet authentic Japanese sake.
"KIMOTO" Time! Known as keeping the traditional ‘Kimoto-method’ yeast sake making style brewery. It shows many wooden Sake-making tools in the museum and can learn about Sake making. Taste the beautiful dedicated-craftsmanship Sake in front of the adorable Japanese garden and have a deeeeep breath here! *Sake breweries are subject to change due to regular closing days or weather conditions. If this happens, we will arrange carefully selected alternative stops so that you can still enjoy a wonderful sake experience. *This is our summer-season route. After Japan’s hot summer season ends, the tour will return to its regular route, with the itinerary changing accordingly while maintaining the same quality of experience.

5Amazing sake tour with Hiroman
Hiroman led us on an amazing tour of a few sake breweries and did an excellent job of explaining the history of sake brewing and how to taste and rate sake. We absolutely loved the tour and would highly recommend it, especially if you request Hiroman.
5Wonderful afternoon!
What a great afternoon we had! Hiro was an excellent, kind and accommodating host, with much information and many jokes along the way. We were able to learn a lot, as well as have a very enjoyable afternoon. Thank you very much Hiro!!
5Wonderful afternoon experience with the right amount of detail!
My friend and I had the most wonderful afternoon with Mami! We are both scientists and she was very knowledgable and answered our questions with great detail. We are now able to look at Sake and understand more about where it came from and the different classes. I rarely write reviews, but this experience was so top notch that I had to share. I highly recommend!
5Great experience!
Our guide Hiro was very knowledgeable and kind, we learned a lot on brewing techniques and sake’s differences, and indeed we drank many very good sake. 3.5 hours totally worth!
5Hiro was an incredible...
Hiro was an incredible guide for our family. We brought our two daughters ages 8 and 10 and she prepared a bunch of toys and little stickers to keep them entertained while my husband and I enjoyed sake. We learned a lot and also really enjoyed talking with Hiro. She was flexible and patient with us and she went out of her way to help us to the train station we needed. Absolutely recommend this tour!
5Wonderful Trip
We enjoy the trip very much. Guide (Mami san) is very friendly and clear in her explanation.
Kobe is a port city on Osaka Bay, set between the sea and the Rokko mountains, known for its beef, foreign-style hillside houses and hot springs.
Kobe is a long, narrow city squeezed between Osaka Bay and the Rokko Mountains, which rise steeply behind it. It opened as a treaty port in 1868, and its foreign merchants left a hillside district, Kitano, of European-style mansions, churches and cafés. Nankinmachi is a compact Chinatown. At the harbour, the red Port Tower and the Meriken Park waterfront look out over the bay.
Top-ranked sights in Kobe: Kobe Harborland, Kobe Port Tower, Kobe Maritime Museum.
