Kangaroo Island lies off South Australia, a rugged island of sea lions, koalas, granite coastline and empty beaches reached by ferry or a short flight.
Kangaroo Island is the third-largest island in Australia, lying across Backstairs Passage from the Fleurieu Peninsula south of Adelaide.
