Hoogtepunten

In this experience, I invite you to enjoy my passions: sailing, the sea, and the beach. This beach is located beneath the highest coastal mountains in the world, where melted snow flows directly into the Caribbean Sea. Tayrona National Natural Park is nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, in the Caribbean region of Colombia. Just 34 km from the urban center of Santa Marta, it is one of Colombia’s most important natural parks. It is home to a vast number of species, spread across different ecosystems with varying thermal levels. I invite you to connect with the locals, share with the coastal people, taste the catch of the day, learn about their culture, and, most importantly, have fun! Tayrona Park is CLOSED on the following dates: February 1 – 15 June 1 – 15 October 19 – November 2 But we keep sailing on alternative routes!

As soon as we leave Santa Marta Bay, we will enter Taganga Bay, a fishing village where tourism has blended with local life. We will continue our journey into Tayrona National Park, passing by Granate Bay, where you can observe traditional artisanal fishing and spot diving schools in action. We will sail past Aguja Island and Playa Brava, heading towards our final destination: Bahía Concha. Here, you can swim, paddle, snorkel, or simply relax and enjoy the stunning surroundings. For lunch, we will indulge in an incredible fresh fish meal (Ceviche). Vegetarian options are available. At 3:30 PM, we will begin our return to the marina—this time, sailing with the wind. We will arrive around 5:00 PM, just in time to enjoy a breathtaking sunset, listen to great local music, and celebrate your visit with us! Let me know if you need any adjustments!

About Santa Marta

Santa Marta is Colombia's oldest surviving colonial city, a Caribbean port below the Sierra Nevada and close to Tayrona Park and the Lost City trail.

Founded by the Spaniards in 1525, Santa Marta is the oldest surviving colonial city in Colombia, set on a bay where the Sierra Nevada, the highest coastal mountain range on earth, drops almost to the sea. Simón Bolívar died in 1830 at the Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, a hacienda just outside the centre, now a museum with botanical gardens. The old town has a cathedral, a seafront promenade and a gold museum in a colonial house.

Top-ranked sights in Santa Marta: Lost City (Ciudad Perdida), Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta National Park, Tayrona National Park (Parque Nacional Natural Tayrona).
