Using colourful wool fibres and simple felting techniques, you'll craft a beautiful evil eye design inspired by the traditional Greek symbol of protection and good luck. Your finished piece can be used as a coaster, turned into a small pouch, displayed as a decoration, or sewn onto clothing or bags as a unique handmade accessory. Participants who complete their main project quickly will also have the opportunity to create a smaller version to wear as a brooch. Each guest receives a complete felting kit, including wool, needles, a work sponge, felt backing, and brooch fixings if desired. No previous experience is necessary. About Paros

Paros is a Cycladic island of white villages, marble quarries and sandy bays, with the harbour town of Parikia and the fishing port of Naoussa.

Parikia, the port and capital, has a Venetian kastro built from blocks of ancient marble and the Panagia Ekatontapiliani, the Church of a Hundred Doors, said to date from the fourth century. Naoussa, on the north coast, is a fishing harbour with a small Venetian fort at the water's edge and tavernas along the quay. Sculptors in antiquity prized the island's marble, known as Parian marble.
