We head towards Famagusta to view the ghost town of Varosha, from Derynia bay we then head along the coastline, passing Fig Tree Bay before arriving in the Cape Greco area and the beautiful blue Lagoon. About Protaras
Protaras is a quieter neighbour of Ayia Napa on the east coast of Cyprus, known for sheltered Fig Tree Bay and a shore of small rocky coves.
Protaras grew up along the east coast of Cyprus, in the Famagusta District, a few kilometres north of Ayia Napa and within the municipality of Paralimni. Its main strip runs behind Fig Tree Bay, a curve of soft sand with shallow, clear water and a promenade of cafés. Pernera lies to the north, and Konnos Bay, a small cove between pine-covered cliffs, to the south.
