1. Deep in the jungle, a secret waterfall awaits. A 2.5-hour hike through lush Costa Rican forest, a heart-pounding river crossing, and a reward that earns itself: La Leona, all yours. Private pickup, your date, zero crowds. What to expect Recommended pickup between 6:00–8:00 AM. The hike requires a moderate fitness level and includes a river crossing. Upon reaching La Leona you'll have time to swim at the base of the waterfall before heading back for an authentic Costa Rican lunch. Not recommended This experience is not recommeded for people with knee or hip issues or pregnant woman.

About Tamarindo

Tamarindo is a surf town on Costa Rica's Guanacaste coast, with a wide sandy bay, an estuary and a strip of beach bars looking west to the sunset.

Tamarindo grew from a fishing village into the main beach town of Guanacaste, with its beach, shops and restaurants strung along one main road. The bay has gentle waves for beginners, and surf schools line the sand, while more powerful breaks lie a short drive along the coast. The estuary at the northern end shelters mangroves where herons and the occasional crocodile are seen from kayaks.
