After visiting the market in Olhão it is time to recharge your batteries enjoying a typical lunch in a Restaurant, where you will be delighted with the freshness of the fish served! After lunch, we will pass by a tiny, traditional fishing village - Santa Luzia. There you will see the pots used to catch octopus - an ingenious device! Our final stop is Tavira - the queen of the Algarve coastal towns. See the Arab fortress, the Roman Bridge dating from the IV century and visit at least some of the towns 22 churches! An unforgettable day is guaranteed!

About Portimão
Portimão is a river port and fishing town on the western Algarve, with sardine grills by the quay and the sandy bays and red cliffs of Praia da Rocha.
Portimão sits at the mouth of the Arade River, and its long history of fishing and fish canning shaped the town. The old cannery now houses the town's museum, which records that trade, and the riverfront quay has rows of grills where sardines are cooked in the open air. Across the water is Ferragudo, a village of white houses with the Santa Catarina fortress at the river mouth.
