In evidenza
Enjoy Sal Island's most authentic Lemon Shark Experience led by a native certified nature guide. Unlike simply watching sharks from a distance, you'll safely enter the shallow waters of Shark Bay, where juvenile lemon sharks swim naturally around you in their protected nursery. Spend around 40 minutes in the water learning about the behaviour, biology and conservation of these remarkable animals while enjoying a safe and respectful wildlife encounter. Water shoes are included free of charge for your comfort and safety, and small groups ensure a more personal experience with plenty of time to observe, ask questions and take unforgettable photos. This is a unique opportunity to connect with Cape Verde's marine life while supporting responsible and sustainable wildlife tourism.

5Brilliant day
Brilliant experience with Tony. Very informative. Covered every aspect and answered lots of questions too, with humour and also with good reasoning. Great bloke, great tour.
5Would definitely recommend this trip!
Fantastic experience from booking to the bus dropping us off back at the hotel. Great communication, excellent tour guide and an amazing staff experience! Some of the sharks were pretty big, and it was great to be so close to them. Would definitely recommend this trip
5A must!
Just brilliant! Fantastic communication before we went, right through to drop off. We were looked after, and had the best time!
5Really good!
Transport was great, great guide was very funny and had a lot of facts! Got to be with the sharks for so long, and there were loads!
5Lemon sharks
Great trip but we had good water clarity might be different if sand churned up conditions. Thoroughly enjoy it.
5Great experience! So...
Great experience! So amazing to be so close to these incredible creatures in their own environment. Would highly recommend. The shore is very rocky so sensible water shoes is a must and do take care when walking. It was windy when we went so lots of waves. The sharks are just beautiful though - worth it! 💙

About Santa Maria
Santa Maria, on the southern tip of Sal in Cape Verde, is a beach town of pale sand, steady Atlantic wind and a fishing pier.
Santa Maria occupies the southern tip of Sal, a flat, dry island in the Cape Verde archipelago off the coast of West Africa. Sal means salt in Portuguese, a nod to the salt pans once worked here for export. The sandy streets of Santa Maria, lined with pastel houses, lead down to a long beach and a pier where local fishermen sell their catch.
