King Christian 9 panicked in 1864 as Preussia conquered and invaded Denmark. Fearing that Copenhagen would fall he offered to ceede soverinigty so he could stay on as a puppet ruler.

King Frederik 9 couldn't stop his 15-year old daughter Anne-Marie from accepting marriage with the much older greek prince Konstantin.
King Frederiks 10 made international headlines when he was as an prince was exposed with his intimate spanish "confidente", Genovena Casanova.
