For 9 years, we have toured wineries throughout Uruguay, which has allowed us to generate very strong ties with the owners of Uruguayan wineries. This gives us the possibility and the privilege of offering personalized tours where quality is paramount. In addition, our Wine Tourism agency has been declared of interest by the INAVI (National Institute of Viticulture) thanks to our work and first-class service that our clients guarantee. Carmelo is considered a small wine tourism gem of our country, with a set of wineries that are very different from each other. For this particular itinerary we have chosen two wineries, prioritizing the family style, where visitors will be served by the owners of the establishments themselves, since we believe that this experience is something completely unusual in other parts of the world.

Itinerario
The first winery we will visit is called Bodega Cordano, which is a family winery with a long history in Carmelo, opened last century by Italian immigrants from Piemonte. It is currently run by Ana María Cordano, the daughter of the founder and her family. We will visit the family museum in the establishment's cellar, we will taste 4 of their wines accompanied by a snack and we will be able to buy regional products in their warehouse.
The second winery that we will visit is Bodega El Legado. It is a boutique winery, run by its owners with a charm that makes you fall in love. Impossible to go to Carmelo and not pass by there. We will learn about the incredible history behind this place during your guided tour of the winery and later we will enjoy an exquisite grill lunch accompanied by its best wines. You will also have the opportunity to try one of their premium wines directly from the barrel. An experience you will never forget!

About Colonia del Sacramento
Colonia del Sacramento is a small Uruguayan town on the Río de la Plata, with a Portuguese-era quarter of cobbled streets, a lighthouse and river sunsets.
Colonia del Sacramento lies on the Río de la Plata in south-western Uruguay, facing Buenos Aires across the estuary. It was founded by the Portuguese in 1680 and contested with Spain for a century, and its historic quarter, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, keeps the layout and low houses of that time. Cobbled lanes run to the Plaza Mayor, the old city gate with its drawbridge and wall, and the waterfront.
