The national palace (Istana Negara in Malay Language) is the official residence of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong also known as the King (the monarch and head) of state of Malaysia. The Palace is not accessible for the public or tourists. It was opened in 2011 and replaced the old Istana Negara which was located at a different compound in central Kuala Lumpur. The complex blends the Islamic and Malay architectural. You can only have a photo stop at the main gate guarded by the Calvary Guards. Beware of the weather in Malaysia as this is a vast and non-covered square area which will cause difficulties in your photoshoot activities during rainy days.

The Best Known Landmark in Kuala Lumpur is Merdeka Square or known as Dataran Merdeka among locals. Located opposite Sultan Abdul Samad building, this place recorded historical moments as the Union Flag (British) was lowered and replaced by Malayan Flag, for the first time at midnight (time: 12:00 AM) on 31 August 1957 witnessed by a large number of people. In the morning of 31 August 1957, the ceremony for Malayan independence was then held at the Merdeka Stadium. Since that, Merdeka Square has been the venue for the annual Independance Parade. You can see merdeka square as a giant field with perfectly manicured green lawns and a centerpiece of the tallest flagpole in the world (95m) proudly displaying the Jalur Gemilang (Malaysian flag).
Situated in Gombak, Selangor, Batu Caves is a 400 million years old limestone outcrop, has three main caves featuring temples and Hindu shrines. About Kuala Lumpur
Top-ranked sights in Kuala Lumpur: National Mosque of Malaysia (Masjid Negara), Thean Hou Temple, Kuala Lumpur Chinatown.
