  We had a amazing time with Valentin and Gonzalo. They explained everything to know about the lagoon very well. And very smooth and relaxing sailing trip! They also let you swim at beautiful spots with clear blue waters around. Highly recommended!

  Our sunset boat tour in Bacalar was hands down the best experience I’ve ever had on a holiday. And I did my share of travels along all continents ! From the moment we stepped on board, Armando and David made us feel completely at ease. Their warmth and professionalism immediately set the tone for something special. What truly elevated the experience was their incredible knowledge of the region. They didn’t just take us out on the water — they shared the history, ecology, and local stories of the breathtaking Laguna de Bacalar, giving us a much deeper appreciation for this magical place. As the sun began to set, the lagoon transformed into a canvas of golds, pinks, and deep blues — an unforgettable sight. Armando and David made sure everyone was comfortable, relaxed, and fully immersed in the moment. It felt personal, unhurried, and genuinely special. On top of that, they generously shared tips for hidden gems around Bacalar — the kind of local recommendations you won’t find in a guidebook. Those suggestions made the rest of our stay even more memorable. If you’re visiting Bacalar, this sunset boat tour is an absolute must. About Bacalar

Bacalar is a quiet lakeside town in Quintana Roo, beside a long freshwater lagoon of shifting blues known as the Lake of Seven Colours.

Bacalar sits on the western shore of a lagoon about forty kilometres long in the south of Quintana Roo, close to the border with Belize. The water, shallow over white sand and deeper in places, shades from pale turquoise to deep blue, giving the lagoon its name, the Lake of Seven Colours. The Fort of San Felipe, built in the eighteenth century to guard the lagoon from pirates, stands above the town square and holds a small museum.
