1. After hotel pickup in Yangon, your tour starts with the drive to Bago, stopping on the way at the Htaukkyant War Monastery. Continue to Bago, where your guide takes you to attractions including Kyakhat Wine Monastery and the Reclining Buddha statue at Shwe Tha Lyaung in western Bago. About Yangon

Yangon, Myanmar's largest city, is a river port of colonial buildings and temples crowned by the gold stupa of the Shwedagon Pagoda.

Yangon spreads beside the Yangon River in the delta of the Irrawaddy. The Shwedagon Pagoda, a gilded stupa nearly a hundred metres high on a hill above the city, is its great monument and a place of daily worship, reached by covered stairways. Near the centre, the Sule Pagoda stands in the middle of a traffic roundabout. Yangon was the national capital until the mid-2000s.
