In evidenza
Join a private historian-led tour through Munich and explore the origins of Adolf Hitler, the Nazi Party, and their rise to power. Discover why Munich became known as the "Capital of the Movement" and how a fringe political movement came to dominate Germany. Walking through the streets where these events unfolded, you'll visit key locations connected to the rise of National Socialism, from the beer halls where Hitler first addressed supporters to memorials dedicated to the victims of Nazi persecution. Using historical photographs and documents, your guide will place these sites in their wider historical context. Along the way, you'll learn about the impact of the First World War, the Treaty of Versailles, Nazi ideology, antisemitism, life under Hitler's regime, local resistance, and the destruction of Munich during the Second World War. This tour offers a balanced and historically grounded examination of one of the darkest chapters in modern history.

About Munich
Munich is the Bavarian capital, with a rebuilt old town, beer gardens, royal palaces and the Alps visible on clear days to the south.
Marienplatz, the main square, is overlooked by the neo-Gothic New Town Hall, whose Glockenspiel chimes with mechanical figures, and by the twin onion-domed towers of the Frauenkirche. The Viktualienmarkt close by is a food market with a beer garden. The Residenz, the former home of Bavaria's rulers, has lavish halls and a treasury, and Nymphenburg Palace stands in a park to the west.
Top-ranked sights in Munich: Neuschwanstein Castle, Marienplatz, Odeonsplatz.
