1. Your guide will pick you up very early (05h30) from your Maun based accommodation in a game drive vehicle. You will then head northwards to Moremi Game Reserve. 50km into your day trip, you’ll pass the buffalo fence and game viewing will begin.

2. Stretch your legs and enjoy a morning tea/coffee and light breakfast at South Gate, the nearest entrance from Maun to Moremi - 99 km away from Maun. As we enter the reserve shortly after breakfast, be on the lookout for a diversity of ecosystems which come with an amazing array of wildlife sightings, birding and natural beauty. Your professional guide, using his knowledge and experience of the area will ensure that you enjoy the very best of what the reserve has to offer. Here sightings of elephant, hippo, crocodile, buffalo, impala, giraffe, tsessebe, zebra, blue wildebeest, sable antelope, greater kudu, red lechwe, and waterbuck are common. Other equally incredible wildlife species that can be spotted are lion, leopard, cheetah, spotted hyena and African wild dog. The reserve is also home to a surprising diversity of birds, from water birds to forest dwellers, so expect excellent birding too.

3. Having spent the morning exploring the surrounding wilderness, your guide will choose a scenic spot where you can relax and enjoy a picnic lunch. This will be followed by an afternoon game drive before driving back to Maun, arriving in the early evening.

• 5Solo Visit to Kaziikini

  I had a fabulous time with Pelo during my Moremi Full Day trip from Maun. He picked me up from my hotel early in the morning (~530 AM) before we set of to Kaziikini (Moremi had been affected by flooding and thus we were not able to go). Pelo was insightful and very detailed. I was able to see a wide variety of animals, including Cheetahs, Elephants, and Zebras. The provided lunch was also delicious as well. All in all, an excellent tour to take if you are in Maun for an extended period of time and are hoping to go on Safari.

• 5What a wonderful day!

  We travelled through Namibia for more than 5 weeks, but couldn't see any wild lions or leopards. This tour with Pelo... Wow, it was just fantastic! ​He came to our campsite for a briefing the day before the tour an we've got already a good feeling.During the trip, he made sure we were comfortable and had enough to drink. He taught us a lot about the animals and how to spot them, answering all of our questions. ​He found a group of impalas that were visibly tense and staring in one direction. There was a leopard! We were able to observe a beautiful male leopard for a while. ​Pelo was actively communicating with other guides to exchange animal sightings, which led us to 8 lions at the end! We got to see them sleeping and playing. At one point, 4 zebras walked nearby, and we could watch the lions' reaction. ​Both our kids and we were so satisfied with the tour. Thank you very much for taking us on this safari, Pelo. We were so lucky to have you as our guide!

• 5An extraordinary expenrience

  We had a wonderful excursion with breakfast and lunch in the savannah to discover its inhabitants. We admired in their habitat many animals such as giraffes, zebras, ostriches, impalas, elephants and a magnificent leopard specimen. Top experience with a super guide, Pelo, who led us with professionalism and great friendliness in this unique experience: really top. Absolutely recommended

• 5Kaziikini game park all day visit

  Long but eventful day with good viewing of animals at Kaziikini game park near Moremi (which was flooded due to heavy rain). Our guide and driver Pelo was brilliant, very knowledgeable and so friendly and very good at finding the whole range of animals and birdlife. We would thoroughly recommend this trip but be aware it is 6am start at Maun and back at dusk, but worth every minute.

• 5Once in a lifetime experience

  Pelo our guide reached out two days before the trip and visited my hotel the evening before the trip for a briefing and to inform of the slight change of itinerary. The day of the trip he was fantastic especially considering the challenging conditions, heavy rain and wind. As the weather got better the trip reache'd all it's goals and I cannot recommend it highly enough. It was entartaing and educational. I will remember it for a long time and I highly recommend this tour and this company.

About Maun

Maun, on the edge of the Kalahari in northern Botswana, is the gateway town for the Okavango Delta and the wildlife reserves around it.

Maun lies on the Thamalakane River at the southern edge of the Okavango Delta, a dry-land town that has grown into the safari hub of Botswana. Its streets are low and spread out, with shops, markets and a busy airport where light planes leave for lodges and airstrips across the delta. It has long been the main town of the Batawana people and of the cattle country of Ngamiland.
