The dramatic lunar-like landscape is as a result of pumice stone or compacted volcanic ash. The group will have the opportunity to wander around and explore the interesting landscape at Sarakiniko and take photographs that will forever be imprinted in their minds. The tour is completed with a visit to the Mining Museum of Milos, which is located near Adamas. It is here that the history of the island's landscape is captured in a snapshot.
Phylakopi is a settlement dating back to the Neolithic Period. While excavating archaeologists discovered tools made of obsidian, a volcanic glass similar to granite. Also that was the place where the 'Lady of Phylakopi' was discovered.
Papafragas is a cluster of deep-sea inlets and sea caves. It is located at the base of pristine ravine that was shaped by volcanic activity.
Sarakiniko is an inlet of pure white rock formations sculpted by volcanic eruptions. It is a unique landscape!
The Museum’s aim is to promote the rich geological and mining history of Milos and to pay homage to all those who have worked hard in order to develop the island’s mineral wealth that contributed greatly to its financial and cultural affluence during its long and uninterrupted history.

Milos is a volcanic Cycladic island of white cliffs, sea caves and fishing hamlets, where the Venus de Milo was found in 1820.
Milos was shaped by volcanoes, and its coast is a patchwork of white, yellow and rust-coloured rock. Plaka, the hilltop capital, is a whitewashed village of winding lanes below a medieval kastro, and Adamas is the main port. A farmer found the Venus de Milo in 1820, and the statue now stands in the Louvre. Obsidian from the island was traded around the Aegean in prehistory.
Top-ranked sights in Milos: Kleftiko Beach, Sarakiniko Beach, Firopotamos Beach.
