Interlocking Disks: From a distance, you see hundreds of sand-colored disks of varying sizes and curvatures. Designed by architect Jean Nouvel, these "petals" recreate the desert rose, a mineral crystal that forms in Qatar's coastal salt flats. The Horizon Line: Unlike the vertical skyscrapers nearby, the NMoQ is sprawling and horizontal.
