5. Be prepared for a step climb up some narrow steps, this is not for people with mobility issues but the views at the top are worth it.

6. Also a remarcable place with an amazing view of the entire city. Quite a climb but once you get there you can admire view of the churches and town hall. Going round you can see all sides of the city, not only the old town.

7. Quite a large area, the cemetery has significant history. An extraordinary collection of Ukrainian, Polish and German graves. Lots of interesting history and people buried here.

About Kiev

Kiev, also spelt Kyiv, is a green city of golden-domed churches, tree-lined hills and broad boulevards on the high bank of the Dnieper.

Kiev rises on the hills of the Dnieper's west bank and is among the oldest cities in Eastern Europe. It was the centre of Kyivan Rus, the medieval state that adopted Christianity in 988. The eleventh-century Saint Sophia Cathedral, with its Byzantine mosaics and frescoes, and the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, a monastery of golden domes and cave catacombs above the river, are together a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
