According to Greek mythology, she met her lover Adonis at the pool when he stopped for a drink while hunting. This is UNESCO world heritage site.

  Excellent trip made all the more relevant by the knowledge of our guide, Anna who was also great fun and engaged with all the visitors. From the Edro shipwreck. Sea caves, beautiful Blue Lagoon, visit to Aphrodite’s bath set in a magical grotto, then the lovely village of Paano with its great restaurants to choose from for lunch, the whole tour covered such a lot. We spent just enough time at each location which was perfect as it left you wanting just a little more.

  My family and I went on a wonderful trip today and everything went exactly as planned. We had an amazing guide who gave us insight into the history of the local people and the places we visited. I highly recommend the entire team for their approach and professionalism.

• 3Too much time on bus for underwhelming sites

  We were the 1st stop out of 14 and the last of the 14 on the way back which added 2hours 40 minutes of driving in the bus. Not ideal. They probably need to consolidate the pick up points to be more efficient. Shipwreck was just a junky ship that somehow became an attraction. Blue Lagoon was nothing spectacular. I place to swim really and not much life in the water. The lunch at the restaurant was the highlight (cost not included). Really a good use of time for an entire day IMO.

  It is way too many people at the same time and putting two busses on the same boat is overcrowding in the sea. The guide was not very informative, just okay. The tour did not follow the route that was written on Viator so we did not have lunch in the Polis because it was too early.

  Overall this experience is great for everyone if you want to get a crash course on everything Paphos. The guides are extremely knowledgable and you receive a lot of information along the bus rides. You also see many of the main attractions. Only thing I would say is that if you want to do the blue lagoon, perhaps book a separate tour as you only get about 45 minutes to swim. I recommend the tour overall!

About Paphos

Paphos is a harbour town on Cyprus's south-west coast, with Roman mosaics, ancient tombs, a seafront fort and the legendary birthplace of Aphrodite nearby.

Paphos is split between the harbourside Kato Paphos, where most of the ancient sites lie, and the hillside town of Ktima above it. Kato Paphos is a World Heritage site, with the floor mosaics of Roman villas such as the House of Dionysos, the ruins of an odeon and a small fort at the harbour mouth. Nearby, the Tombs of the Kings are rock-cut burial chambers dating from the 4th century BC.
