In evidenza

This intensive full-day tour combines two of Normandy's most significant sites spanning a millennium of history. Begin early with a journey to the D-Day landing beach, focusing on the American sector where Operation Overlord unfolded on June 6, 1944. Visit the Overlord Museum chronicling the invasion planning and military equipment, pay respects at the American Cemetery where 9,388 white marble crosses and Stars of David mark the graves of fallen soldiers and stand on Omaha Beach itself where the 1st and 29th Infantry Divisions faced the war's bloodiest landing. After lunch at the coast, continue to Mont Saint-Michel, the medieval abbey rising from its tidal island where Benedictine monks have maintained a spiritual presence since the 8th century. Arrive at the mount in late afternoon to witness the abbey's Gothic spire catching the sunset light across the bay. This comprehensive tour connects the sacrifice of the Greatest Generation with France's medieval architectural triumph.
