5Matt took the complexity...
Matt took the complexity of wine and transferred it to easy to understand concepts. This was the best last minute decision we made.
5Knowledgeable guide in a cool cave setting
I had a good experience at Compass with Pauline. I was fortunate to be the only person that day and I received what was essentially a private class. Pauline is very knowledgeable about Burgundy and answered all of my questions enthusiastically. The cellar location is charming and a great place for the tasting class. We tasted wines from different regions in Burgundy and paired them with cheeses and meats.

Best wine tasting I have ever attended. The host was extremely knowledgeable and explanations covered topics from all levels. This exceeded my expectations

Matt was our instructor he was fantastic. We learned so much about the wine, the grapes, the growing regions in France, how to detect whether a wine is older or newer, whether it was a fruity, flowery or herbaceous scent and more. He had a great teaching style as well as a sense of humor. It was a relaxed atmosphere and also so fun! Highly recommended!!

Dijon, the old capital of the dukes of Burgundy, is a city of half-timbered houses, coloured tile roofs, mustard and the wine road south.
Dijon was the capital of the dukes of Burgundy, and its centre keeps their legacy in the Palace of the Dukes and Estates, whose fine arts museum holds the ducal tombs and a wide collection of paintings. The Tour Philippe le Bon climbs to a view over rooftops of coloured tiles, and half-timbered houses and mansions line streets such as Rue des Forges. A trail of markers set into the pavement leads walkers past the sights, among them the small carved owl on Notre-Dame.
