• 5What an experience.

  To start off, I went out with my wife and 2 young daughters. We had a blast. Marico is a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. And did we luck out.... The group that went out before us had a late show up so it pushed our start time back 30 minutes, which was no concern, considering the beautiful beach that is the launch point. My girls got to play and swim around while we ate lunch in between dips. Also, it ended up being only us going out. It was quite the exclusive experience. And man was it beautiful. Marcio explained all of the different names and local land marks as well as taking almost 100 photos and videos of us that where included free of charge. Definitely a great start to our vacation and I feel will be one of the highlights of our trip, leaving a great memory for my family that will last a lifetime. Highly recommended. Thanks Marcio. Oh..... Marcio also recommended a few great places to experience authentic cuisine very close to where we were staying.

• 5SUP experience of Benagil cave and more

  My group and I experienced the SUP excursion with kayak sup benagil and it was absolutely amazing!! This was a once in a life time experience. Marcio and Joshua were super kind and made sure we all had a fun safe time! We got to paddle along the ocean, go into some awesome caves and of course see inside the Benagil cave! We know we will be doing this excursion again when we come back to visit Portugal. Thank you for such an amazing time!

  We had a great time with Marcio who expertly guided us through the caves and crowds of other kayakers and boats!

• 5Bucketlist experience - amazing.

  This was a once in a lifetime bucket list experience. Everything was handled amazingly well and I always felt safe and in good hands. We really enjoyed the kayak to the caves. Our guide was amazing. If you are considering going, use this outfitter as it was a smaller operator with less people and less crowds. We loved it.

• 4The walk to the beach was...

  The walk to the beach was unexpected - long on uneven terrain. Entire tour is contingent on weather and will dictate your experience. It can be wonderful on a no wind, low surf day.

About Lagoa

Lagoa is a municipality on Portugal's Algarve coast, with golden sea cliffs, sea caves such as Benagil, small fishing coves and vineyards.

Lagoa lies east of Portimão and south of Silves in the central Algarve, with a town of whitewashed houses a short way inland and a coast of golden limestone cliffs. The coast holds some of the Algarve's best-known scenery: Benagil Cave, a sea cave with a round opening in its roof, can be seen by boat or kayak, and Praia da Marinha is a beach in a cove below rock arches and stacks.
