Once you are in the port of Katakolon , visiting Olympia is a must. This tour is ideal for travellers who have limited time. The Archaeological Museum of Olympia, one of the most important museums in Greece. It houses masterpieces of classical art such as the sculptures of Zeus' temple and two celebrated works of Graeco-Roman antiquity, the statues of Nike by Paeonios and Hermes by Praxiteles.
Just a breath away from the museum and the ruins in Olympia there is this great place having traditional greek buffet. Up on the Olympian hill you can find the real traditional greek taste combined with the greek culture. You will have the chance there to explore the local food culture and music habits

About Katakolo
Katakolo is a small port on the west coast of the Peloponnese and the nearest harbour to ancient Olympia, where the Olympic Games began.
Katakolo sits at the tip of a small cape in the region of Elis, facing the Ionian Sea, with the island of Zakynthos visible on a clear day across the water. The port is a small waterfront of tavernas and cafés along a quay. Pyrgos, the regional town, lies a short way inland, and the coast on either side has long sandy beaches.
