The Elmina Castle and slave dungeons is the first European building in the Sub Saharan Africa, and it was the one of the main transit point for African captives to the New world.
The Assin Manso Slave Market And River is where African captives during the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade were given their last African bath before they were taken to the Slave dungeons in Elmina and Cape Coast.
The Cape Coast Castle and Slave dungeons was built in the 16th century purposely for the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade. The Castle became the sit for the British Gold Coast Colony.
