Gamcheon Village [Culture Village] Gamcheon, often referred to as Korea's Santorini or Lego Village, was originally founded in the 1950s as a communal settlement for followers of Taegeukdo, a new religious movement. This distinctive architecture, reminiscent of Lego blocks, has made Gamcheon a popular filming location for commercials, movies, and dramas. Since 2009, a community art project has transformed the village into an open-air gallery, with colorful murals and sculptures adorning every corner. • 1Never again

Josh, the guide of edentour, change the pick up schedule during the night to an earlier time as we initially booked . We tried everything but were 7 minutes Late. The Bus was gone and since then any further contact has been blocked. Our Money is gone.

  • 5Beautiful scenery,...

Beautiful scenery, friendly staff Mr Han, disappointed with the time of the sky capsule ride, it was dark by the time we got to the station, pointless as couldn’t see anything, tickets need to be purchased by staff earlier to ensure daylight hours, apart from that ok.

  • 5Great Overview

Excellent way to see the highlights of Busan. We were only in Busan for a few days and this allowed us to see some of the main sights. Our guide, Han, was friendly and had a lot of information to share. The group wasn't too big. Just make sure you have comfortable shoes and are prepared to walk.

About Busan

Busan is South Korea's second city and biggest port, with beaches, hillside villages, temples by the sea and a huge fish market.

Busan lies at the south-east tip of the Korean peninsula, a port city squeezed between mountains and the sea. Haeundae Beach and Gwangalli Beach, backed by high-rise towers, are its best-known stretches of sand. Gamcheon Culture Village, a hillside of colourful stepped houses, was settled by refugees during the Korean War, and the UN Memorial Cemetery in Korea honours soldiers who died in that conflict.

Top-ranked sights in Busan: Gamcheon Culture Village, Jagalchi Fish Market, Haedong Yonggungsa Temple.
