This adventure begins riding towards the mountain country side on mixed paved, gravel and dirt roads through different sceneries including hills, ocean views, cattle fields, small creeks, rivers, forest with diverse vegetation, small rural towns and other beautiful attractions that reflect the real traditional Costa Rican living. There is a 5-minute walk to the waterfall on a jungle like trail, beautifully adorned with green vegetation and tall trees. The waterfall is about 30ft high and perfect for jumping into its natural pool. For those who rather not to jump off, they can just relax and swim in its refreshing waters. After some time in the waterfall, we stop at El Tigre Sightseeing for some pictures of the stunning panoramic views. The sightseeing has a typical restaurant operated by locals, which provides a great opportunity to buy some drinks, snacks or typical meals while you contemplate the views and enjoy the cool mountain breeze.

Itinerario
We take the route through the mountains on a rural public road so you experience the real Costarrican essence of rural living. You will go through small typical villages and farms as well as luscious landscape of the tropical rain forest on mixed gravel, dirt or paved roads. We stop at Waterfall for a refreshing swim if you would like. If there is time available we could also take you to El Tigre Sightseeing and restaurant. Great place to rest, take pictures, buy a meal, snacks or drinks before you head back down. (Please note that riding average should be 38Km per hour in order to meet the attraction points within the scheduled time frame. If riding does not meet expectations we may have to change routes and may not get to the waterfall).

5Jagua riders experience

Great trip. Arturo was our guide. He did great going to our skill level and gave lots of instruction. The waterfall was beautiful.

Seriously as a tourist coming from NYC this ATV riding experience was off the hook. I had a great time riding along with tour guide Arturo and just connecting with nature was amazing experience. After your ride don't forget to shout out to PURA VIDA. Hang loose.
5Well worth the time! An adventure to get your heart racing!
We took this tour two times, February & March. Both experiences were fantastic! We specifically requested Santiago for the second trip, as he did such a great job on our first adventure. And, the second trip was even better!!! You won't go wrong if you get him as your guide! We did the 4 person side by side and found it easy to manage and fun to be able to talk with each other throughout the trip. It was fantastic...
5Best adventure ride in Costa Rica.
My family had a really good time on this adventure! Our guides were experts who showed us a side of Costa Rica that is not normally seen.

About Puntarenas
Puntarenas is a Pacific port on a narrow sandspit in the Gulf of Nicoya, with a seaside promenade, a cruise dock and ferries to the Nicoya Peninsula.
Puntarenas stretches along a sandspit about five kilometres long that pokes into the Gulf of Nicoya, with the sea on one side and an estuary on the other. In the 19th century it was Costa Rica's main Pacific port, when coffee from the Central Valley was carted down to be shipped abroad. Today a long seafront promenade, the Paseo de los Turistas, runs along the beach, and cruise ships call at the dock.
