Next, we will go to the Church of the Company where we will comment on the history of the church and its construction. We will move to the left side of the Church of the Company to visit the Cloisters of the Society of Jesus, a place that has sculpted ashlar arches, beautiful corridors; currently occupied by small restaurants, cafes and commercial establishment. We will visit the Casa Tristán del Pozo, a building whose façade is worthy of recognition as the center of creation of Peru and Latin America. About Arequipa
Arequipa, in southern Peru, is a white-stone colonial city beneath the cone of El Misti volcano, close to the deep Colca Canyon.
Arequipa lies at about 2,300 metres in the dry southern Andes, with the cone of El Misti volcano rising above it and Chachani and Pichu Pichu on either side. Its centre is built from sillar, a light volcanic stone that has earned it the name of the White City. The Plaza de Armas has arcades, palms and the cathedral, whose façade stretches the full length of one side.
