2. Memphis and Saqqara, Saqqara, Egypt Travelers will discover two of Egypt’s most important ancient sites in one journey. At Memphis, the first capital of unified Egypt, they will explore the open-air museum showcasing remarkable artifacts, including the colossal statue of Ramses II and the magnificent alabaster Sphinx. This visit offers a glimpse into Egypt’s earliest political and cultural center. Next, at Saqqara, travelers will explore the vast necropolis of the ancient capital, highlighted by the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the earliest pyramid ever built. They will also have the chance to see tombs with beautifully preserved wall carvings and hieroglyphics that illustrate daily life and religious practices thousands of years ago. Depending on the tour, visitors may also enter smaller pyramids or noble tombs for a closer look at Egypt’s rich history.
