The huge Diocletian’s Palace is covered almost half of Old Split. It was built in the name of the Diocletian Roman emperor. The Palace is mostly similar to a fortress, half of it was taken for Diocletian use and another was a part for militaries. (Visit from outside)

Marjan hill is said to be a spiritual havens for the citizens of Split, they used to test the faith by walking to the holly hill. The small church on the way to the uphill of Marijan was build in the name of St Nicholas the Traveler.
The highest peak of Marijan is Telegrin. The height is 178 meters, but it covers breathtaking panorama view on Split and seaside around. It is worth to get there. Do not forget good shoes for hiking, snacks and plenty of water.
