1. Bypassing at Nizwa fort without entry. Visitors will see Nizwa fort from outside. Some information will be presented about the fort and the surrounding building

2. Al Aqur village in Nizwa, the visitor will be driven through this ancient village and see old mud houses, renovated buildings, Al Aqur wall and the irrigation channels. Each land mark will be breifly explained by the guide. Short video will be presented at the Tanoor location. Visitors can take pictures.

3. - Starting from Nizwa Fort and see the entrance of the fort - Pass by through the old village, Al Aqr - Stop at the heritage old houses and explain about the Omani architecture - Shawathna Mosque, pass by, a 1000 years old mosque (no entry) - Al Aqr Wall, pass by, A heritage wall built around 400 years ago - Omani irrigation channels, pass by. - BBQ pit, short video will be played to show how the tandoor is ignited - Al Bustan inn, a renovated houses in a garden Visitors will pass by Nizwa central market.

  We had a great tour of the aqar, if they could at least offer a bottle of water during the tour considering the hot temperatures.

  Nizwa heritage private tour with open electric golf cart for 1 hr max is a must tour in nizwa oman. The guide is knowledgeable and well mannered. Much better than walking blindly for hrs. Try next time

About Nizwa

Nizwa is an old oasis town at the foot of Oman's Hajar Mountains, once the capital of the country, with a great round fort and a famous livestock market.

Nizwa stands in an oasis of date palms in the interior of Oman, where the Hajar Mountains meet the desert plain, and was once the capital of the country and a centre of learning and religion. The massive Nizwa Fort, built in the 17th century, has a tall round tower, and from its roof there is a view across the palms and the mountains. Beside it lies the souk, where silver daggers, pottery, halwa and dates are sold.
