Highlights
You will meet with your Guide at a meeting point at 8 p.m. The meeting point is at PLAZA APACHETA: you will receive instructions before the tour. Then you drive out of San Pedro, where the observatory is located. There you will hear a lecture on the sky and the Andean cosmovision. Next you will participate in an evening photo session with the photographer. You will have a nice aperitif with wine and piscosour while you appreciate the sky. About San Pedro de Atacama
San Pedro de Atacama is an adobe oasis town in northern Chile, ringed by salt flats, volcanoes, geysers and some of the driest desert on earth.
San Pedro de Atacama is a village of low whitewashed adobe houses and dusty streets in an oasis of the Atacama Desert, at about 2,400 metres. Its adobe church goes back to the 17th century and has a roof of cactus wood, and the small Museo Arqueológico Gustavo Le Paige displays mummies and pottery from the desert's early peoples. The cone of Licancabur volcano stands over the town to the east.
