Sambor Prei Kuk Full Day Temple Tour from Siem Reap

Discover Sambor Prei Kuk, a 7th century pre-Angkorian capital with more than a hundred jungle temples, on a full day tour via the historic Kampong Kdei bridge. South of Siem Reap in Kampong Thom province lies Sambor Prei Kuk, the pre-Angkorian capital of Isanapura and one of the earliest surviving examples of Khmer architecture. En route, stop at Kampong Kdei, once the longest corbelled stone-arch bridge in the world. At Sambor Prei Kuk, walk through four temple groups comprising more than a hundred brick structures dating to the 7th century, roughly 615 to 650 AD, many entwined with tree roots and set among lush forest. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2017, it offers a quieter, more contemplative counterpoint to the busier Angkor circuit. Lunch is served near the temples before the drive back to Siem Reap, leaving behind the serene atmosphere of one of Cambodia's oldest surviving cities. A full day tracing Khmer architecture back to its earliest roots.
