Experience wine and culture on the day trip to Kakheti Region. You'll visit two Georgian wineries and taste their unique products, from dry reds to sweet whites. You'll also savor a traditional Georgian fresh bread and cheese in a traditional bakery. Along the way, you'll explore some of Kakheti's most beautiful and historic places, such as Bodbe's St. Nino's Convent Cathedral. In Sighnaghi, you can admire the views of the Alazani Valley, the Caucasus Mountains, and the Sighnaghi Wall. It is a defensive fortification dating back to the 18th century. At a family-owned winery, and KTW Winery, you'll learn about the ancient wine-making methods in Georgia. This tour is a must-do for anyone who loves wine, nature, and culture.
At 08:30, our guide meets you in front of Avlabari Metro Station with our company’s branded flag. He/she will show you where our office is. After you complete the check-in procedure, you will wait a few minutes in our office until your tour starts.
Badiauri village is where you can visit a local bakery and taste delicious Georgian bread and cheese.
The second stop is Bodbe Convent. According to the legend, it was built at the burial place of Saint Nino—a Saint for Georgians who converted their religion to Christianity. The site is very spiritual and has impressive views for taking beautiful pictures.
Then go to Sighnaghi, known as "The City of Love." You will have a walking tour in Sighnaghin and discover " The Great Wall of Georgia." After the walking tour, you can join lunch with a beautiful view of Alazani Valley and try traditional Georgian food.
The fourth site of the day is a local family winery. At this stage, you will meet a local family who traditionally makes wine using Qvevri - giant clay jars buried underground. You'll get to sample three of their best wines - Rkatsiteli, Saperavi, and Manavi Mtsvane.
The last place to visit during the day is KTW Winery, one of the biggest wine producer in the whole country. You have a tour of the winery, wine tasting for five different wines - and even try Chacha, a potent grape vodka.

5A Wonderful Day of Wine, Food and Georgian Hospitality
I had a fantastic day exploring Kakheti with Gamarjoba Georgia Tours. The tour was well organised, with comfortable transportation, a thoughtful itinerary and plenty of time to enjoy each stop without feeling rushed. Kakheti offered a wonderful mix of scenic landscapes, charming towns, cultural experiences and excellent wine tasting. Our guide, Tako, made the day even more special with her kindness, patience and engaging insights into Georgian history, culture and winemaking. The wine tasting was a definite highlight. With plenty of wine, lively toasts, delicious food and strong chacha, the atmosphere quickly became relaxed and full of laughter. It was a wonderful introduction to Georgian hospitality and wine traditions. The friendly group made it easy to connect with fellow travellers, which I especially appreciated as a solo traveller. Overall, this was one of the highlights of my time in Georgia, and I would highly recommend Gamarjoba to anyone looking for a fun and memorable Kakheti experience.

5Amazing Georgian Wine/Chacha Day Out
Had an amazing time! Tako our guide was informative, friendly, and made our day. The stops included some brilliant views, a lovely Georgian lunch, and plenty of wine and chacha. Would absolutely recommend!
5Amazing. Wine tour.
Tako was an amazing guide - such good fun and the people who helped met were awesome.
5Book it. You won't regret it.
Worth every penny. This trip gives you some of the most beautiful views of Georgia along with all the wine you heart desires. I highly advise doing this with a group and not a private tour because the memories you will make with complete strangers are the part you cannot put a price on. The cherry on top was Ilia, our guide, who showed complete knowledge of the traditions and was extremely approachable throughout the trip to answer questions.
Tbilisi, Georgia's capital, spills along a river gorge beneath a fortress, mixing balconied old houses, sulphur baths and bold modern landmarks.
The old town gathers along the Mtkvari River, its narrow streets lined with carved wooden balconies, churches and wine bars. Abanotubani, the bath district, is crowned by brick domes over sulphur springs, and the walls of Narikala Fortress overlook it all, reached by cable car or a steep walk. The Mother of Georgia statue stands on the ridge holding a sword and a bowl of wine.
Top-ranked sights in Tbilisi: Metekhi Church, Narikala Fortress, Tbilisi Old Town (Dzveli Tbilisi).
