  3. Bathsheba, located on Barbados’ rugged east coast, is one of the island’s most scenic coastal villages, famous for its dramatic landscapes, powerful Atlantic waves, and distinctive coral rock formations. According to local tradition, the village was named after the biblical Bathsheba, whose legendary milk baths were said to resemble the white, foaming surf at the famous Soup Bowl. Today, Bathsheba is recognized internationally as one of Barbados’ top surfing destinations, attracting surfers from around the world with its strong Atlantic swells. The area is also popular with photographers, sightseers, and nature lovers who come to admire its breathtaking coastline and refreshing ocean breezes. Despite its popularity, Bathsheba has preserved the charm of a traditional Barbadian fishing village, with colorful seaside cottages and a peaceful atmosphere that showcases the island’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.

  • 5Great for Nature Lovers & Sightseeing!

The sites on this tour are very beautiful. Our tour guide was also very knowledgeable and provided "fun facts" along the way. The tour back to the hotel from Bathsheba was long, but it was great to see other places on the island. I'd recommend this tour for those that enjoy nature and sightseeing!

  • 5Great experience with Ryan!

On a rainy Monday I embarqued in Ryan's van, direction, Harrison's Cave, Hunte's Garden and Bathseba. Ryan was very knowledgeable and nice. The van was confortable. I learned a lot and saw a lot! Harrison's Cave was wonderful and our tour guide, Kyle, was wonderful. The party bus was lit. I loved the caves and do feel younger today haha. Sadly due to said rain, Hunte's Garden was closed. I was refunded promptly. Bathseba was great too. Then it was back to the meeting point. It was overall a great tour and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

  • 5Orlando our tour guide was excellent, highly recommend this trip, great value 😊

The pick up was scheduled for the closest hotel and meet up time arranged for 08:25, Orlando arrived on time and was very thorough with his check in, to ensure we were the correct passengers for the trip. It was an AC bus so very appreciated as there is a bit of journey to the first location, Harrison's Cave. I would definitely recommend this trip, unbelievable views within the caves and the tram ride is perfect stopping at great picture moments along the way. Second stop was Bathsheba, again breathtaking views of the West coast can really see the difference between the Atlantic and Carribbean seas. Lovely little shop for much needed refreshments. Third stop Hunte's garden an oasis of peace and tranquility and the perfect last stop of the trip, being amongst the gorgeous array of plant life and flowers was very healing. Ensure you wear trainers not flip flops as there are many steps. A horticulturalists dream place. A wonderful trip, seeing a lot of the islands naturals beauties, Orlando our tour guide was fabulous, his local knowledge was really appreciated more so as I plan to move over and no question was too much. Very friendly and professional and made the trip very relaxed and enjoyable. I would highly recommend. Looking forward to returning soon. 😊

  • 3Poor communication from operator; cave was great

Harrison’s Cave was incredible and well worth doing. Our issue was with the communication between the travel company and us. Admissions to Harrison’s Cave also gives you complimentary admission to their bird sanctuary. However, our group didn’t get to enjoy this added feature because the details provided on timing were quite lacking. We did not know how much time we had at the cave so was unsure if we had time to walk through the sanctuary. Our tour guide had merely told us to meet him back at the van after tram. None of the people in our group were sure of the time allotment so we skipped the birds and went up to return to the van. However, the driver was not there. We might have had time to see the birds if we’d had a better idea of what and when we had time to do. The whole experience suffered from poor communication on the part of the tour operator, which was frustrating. Another example of this was that we had checked email for any communication the day before the tour with no emails. The morning of, I just happened to check email again and had a notification that the tour operator had sent a message. The message was that a waiver needed to be completed prior to the tour and that it could not be completed the same day. Well, as we didn’t get the notice until the morning of the tour, we had no choice but to fill it out and hope for the best. Luckily, we were able to participate in the Harrison’s Cave portion. The gardens were nice but not something I would book on their own.

About Diamond Valley

Diamond Valley lies in the south-east of Barbados, the easternmost Caribbean island, a coral island of sugar-cane fields, gentle hills and beaches.

Diamond Valley sits in the parish of St Philip, on the south-east side of Barbados, a coral-limestone island roughly 34 kilometres long and the easternmost of the Caribbean islands. Crane Beach, a wide beach of pale sand backed by cliffs, lies on this coast. The land is gently rolling, with sugar-cane fields, gullies cut into the limestone, and villages of painted wooden chattel houses. Calm beaches face the Caribbean Sea along the west coast, while the Atlantic side to the east is rougher, with strong surf and rocky headlands.
