Dakar, the capital of Senegal, sits on the Cap-Vert peninsula, the westernmost point of mainland Africa, a city of markets, music and ocean beaches.
Dakar occupies the tip of the Cap-Vert peninsula, jutting into the Atlantic at the westernmost point of mainland Africa.
