Höjdpunkter

We will take the train to Spikkestad station and continue along the Old Drammen Line Rail Trail to Lier. On our way we pass through two tunnels (the longest is lit) and two railway stations. You will get a great view of the Drammen fjord while moving downhill towards Lier. The trip is six kilometres long, but can be extended to Old Lier Station (10 km) free of charge upon request.

  2. We will arrive Gullaug halt after we have passed through two railway tunnels (the longest is lit). Here we will sit down on the platform and stretch our legs. You will have a great view of the Drammen fjord from this abandoned railway stop, and you will also find an information board on the platform with old photos.

About Oslo

Oslo is Norway's capital at the head of the Oslofjord, a green city of sculpture, Viking ships, polar-ship museums, an opera house and forests for skiing.

Oslo sits at the head of the Oslofjord, surrounded by forested hills and dotted with islands, and it is one of Europe's greenest capitals. The waterfront has the Opera House, a white marble building with a sloping roof that visitors can walk on, and Akershus Fortress, a medieval castle above the harbour. City Hall, a brick building with large murals, is where the Nobel Peace Prize is presented each December.

Top-ranked sights in Oslo: Akershus Castle (Akershus Slott), Oslo Royal Palace (Kongelige Slott), Oslo City Hall (Radhuset).
