5Great wines and very easy...
Great wines and very easy to fit into a day of sightseeing due to the length. If I could do it again, I would probably book the longer version offered by the same provider. The short version works well in a busy day though.
4Discovering Slokakian wines
Great 20 to 30 min stop for quick wine tasting (Gruner, rose and a pinot noir) knowledgeable host talked us through Slovakian wines just a shame there's not enough to export! Well worth a visit.
5Great little activity
Loved this 20-30min stop on our wander around the city! Three great wines (could have paid more for 6), well-contextualised by excellent sommelier. Great value for money and a great activity to break up the afternoon.
5Great intro to Slovakian wines
Great intro to Slovakian wines. High quality. Knowlegeable guide
4Quick Slovakian wine introduction
The sommelier had good knowledge of local wine and we were given 3 samples which were very nice. A good brief introduction to Slovakian wines.
5Quick sampling of some delicious Slovak wines
We were in Bratislava on a day trip from Vienna and didn't have a ton of time. This was the perfect quick experience so that we could still try out some Slovak wines (a white, rose, and red). We were the only two people for the tasting time I had booked, so we received personalized service. We ended up purchasing an extension in-person so that we could try 3 more wines, which included a delicious orange wine!
Bratislava is Slovakia's capital on the Danube, a small city of a hilltop castle, a pedestrian old town, quirky statues and vineyards close by.
Bratislava lies on both banks of the Danube close to the Austrian and Hungarian borders, about an hour from Vienna. Its castle, a white four-towered building on a ridge, looks over the river and the old town below. The pedestrian old town has pastel baroque palaces, the Michael's Gate tower, and St Martin's Cathedral, where Hungarian kings were crowned from the 16th to the 19th century, when Pozsony, as it was then known, was the Hungarian capital.
Top-ranked sights in Bratislava: Bratislava Castle (Bratislavsky Hrad), Bratislava Old Town (Stare Mesto), Slavín.
